CLASS ACT: premiere of the play written by teenagers from east and west of Ukraine

Draft Class Act: East-West, created by British theatre technology «Treverse theatre», starts in Ukraine for the second year in a row.
On June 19, teens from the school №1 of the Schastya city, located a few kilometers from the front line in the Lugansk region, and the schools from the town of Klesov, the center for the illegal mining of amber in the Rivne region, will come to Kyiv to create a number of relevant pieces.
Within 5 days, plays will be written under the direction of the curator of the project, Natalia Vorozhbit and the cohort of contemporary Ukrainian playwrights from all over the country.
For the next 5 days, the team of directors, actors and artists will work on the texts to present a joint product in a theatre at the end of the month.

The play will feature Ukrainian actors: Irma Vitovskaya-Vanza, Alexei Vertinsky, Olesya Zhurakovskaya, Katerina Vyshneva, Vyacheslav Dovzhenko. Among the playwrights are Anastasia Kosotyiv, Natalya Astafyeva-Block, Andriy Bondarenko. In the directors’ team - Andrei May, Pavel Arie, Vlad Belosorenko.

Author of the idea - Nicola McCartney.

The premiere will be at the renovated stage of the Kiev Academic Drama Theater on Podol on June 29 and 30 at 19:00.
